What kind of riders do these tours? |
Anyone with a passion for riding & a few years riding experience
can easily ride the tours across Europe. We've had riders of all ages & experiences enjoy these trips.
Basically regular riders like you who just want to ride their bikes & explore as much of the world as possible. For some of us our lives dictate that an occassional 2 week adventure fullfills our desire, for others it just wets the appititte!

David Baron
My name is David, I'am retired and live near to Lancaster overlooking Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland hills. I have had motor bikes on and off since I was 16 and currently own a wickedly fun and enjoyable KTM 990 Adventure.
Love touring having done much of Scotland have also ridden in India , Norway, Namibia, and much of Western Europe. Had a great trip to Eastern Europe with Adventure Bike Tours. |
Celeste and Jonathan
Rode a Triumph Tiger for the May trip. "I have been away from biking for a long time and I am very much looking forward to the trip. Celeste has not really been on a bike at all. We will be doing a number of day trips before the tour to get Celeste familiar with being a pillion"
We are both originally from New Zealand and have been in the UK for 8 years. |
Mick Tabone
Mick joined as as assistant support guide on our eastern Europe ride, guiding the group back from Budapest. Map reading expert & expedition 1st aid instructor.

Adrian Holden
I was born quite young and was brought up on a dairy farm in the penines, riding field bikes and have never been without a bike since really. ( not been riding all my life just yet !!! ) I was a commercial diver for 20 years and saw a lot of the world. I am now a semi retied dry cleaner, or I thought I was !!! and have spent the last few summers all over europe on my bike.
enclosing a photo of me in spain somewhere on my GSA.
Enjoyed meeting the boys and girls! Left the GSA at home & tried riding the Kawsaki . . . GTR 1400. |
Andy & Racheal
Rach has only been on one long distance bike trip, which was last year when we toured around Italy. Me, I'm fast approaching my 40th Birthday (It's only weeks away as Rach keeps reminding me) and work as a Fire fighter and have done for nearly 20 yrs, been riding bikes off and on since I was 16. We both enjoyed spending some time on the bike, good company and a chilled time. |
David Black
Hi, I’m David, 44, living in SW London with my (much younger) GS(B).
After a decade away from ‘bikes I hired a Cretan F650; then returned home to pick up a TDM to see how it went ……. Four solo/friends continental runs later (and a few to the Highlands), I thought I’d let someone else do a better job of the organising, to reduce my tyre-squaring M-ways and late-night accommodation searches; while seeing more of the Alps, the East (before it becomes like everywhere else) and some new faces. |
John
Hi all, my name is John Donegan, I'm 52, been around bikes one way or another most of my life. Current bike is a BMW 1150GS. Enjoyed meeting everyone on the trip.
Have biked in Asia, Australia, North Africa, and pretty much all of Western Europe over the years. |
Kerry Monument
Kerry Monument-Grimsby UK. Just got back into motorcycling last year after a lengthy break. Bought my first bike at 18 my dad wouldn't let me have one before that. Turned 18 and bought one, you didn't want to be in the house that day! Family etc. took me away from bikes for a few years but I'm born again now as they say.
Current bike is a BMW 1150 GSA and this was my first trip abroad on a bike.

Pete Quinn
I am 50 years old and wanted to do something different for my 50th - hence I booked for this trip. I have been riding a Harley for the past 8 years and currently have a ‘Couch” – the big daddy of Harleys. Great for long distance cruising.
I have a 17 yr old daughter still at school and a contributor of some grey hairs – as all teenagers are I am sure. I used to head a reasonable size company as CEO. For the past few years have been doing more entrepreneurial work. See you on the Road - Pete |
Steve Lawlor
Really looking forward to just getting on my bike and riding for two weeks, chilling out, meeting new people and having some laughs along the way. I dont take life to seriously, like to have fun and enjoy every day with like minded people, always up for a new challenge.
Been riding for 20 years on and off road, but prefer to take my time these days and soak in the sights and culture rather than passing through in a blur lol. Bought a new xjr1300 last year for touring. I love technology and gadgets so be warned everyone I have kitted the bike with a bullet cam so will be filming along the way. P.S. feel free to pass me on the autobahn not in a hurry on this trip. |
