Highlights of the Tour

We believe that this tour really has something for everyone but my personal highlights are the roads through and around the town of Ronda. The town itself holds a number of delights in its aspect, history and gastronomy but the roads around it are terrific. They are quick, undulating and twisty. This is the area that the Spanish motorcyclists love, we will meet many other bikes in this region.

For those who prefer to watch the scenery the ride through the limestone areas of Northern Portugal are terrific. Nowhere else in Europe has this type of scenery.

For those who want to do something off the bike, we visit Porto, a really interesting old city with loads to see and do with the added attraction of the Port caves. They are interesting and good fun with free tasters at the end of the visit around the caves and they often give out the ‘good stuff ‘ in an attempt to get you to buy some!

The time we spend in the Pyrenees gives you the time to visit some fabulous cave systems and gorges. One of the caves has a tour that includes an underground train ride, a boat ride and the most amazing stalagmite and stalagtite formations in Europe. Well worth a visit on a free day.

• By popular demand; ferry crossings can be left open for individual riders to decide which crossing & time suits you best. If you would prefer to ride down & join the tour on the 1st day in Spain,
• Ferry crossings can be left open for individual riders to decide which crossing & time suits you best. Riders can then simply meet up with us during the first days riding or at the 1st hotel. ie, Dover to Dunkirque - or travel overnight from Hull to Zeebrugge.

Although it is a group trip with a riding tour leader, we would expect the group to naturally break up into smaller teams of similar levels of skill so there is never the feeling of having to ride faster than you are comfortable with. The trip takes time to allow you to ride these great passes both ways should you wish. A comprehensive road book is provided but it is your adventure, ride it your way in the knowledge that your comfortable hotel is waiting for you at the end of the day and you can ride at your speed and pace shortening or extending the route if you wish.
