| Traditional German town alongside the Rhine | Lunch by the Swiss border close to the Austrian Alps |
| The tour Departure is always on a Sunday, Giving you the Saturday to prepare for your tour & for those wanting a fresh start on the Sunday, maybe an overnight stop in the UK close to port. (riders from the North wishing to ride south on the Saturday before the tour- contact me & I'll aim to organise a nice cheap Globerider subsidised! B&B for you!) We sail early morning from Dover to Dunkerque which positions us nicely for our ride across Belgium and first night close to the Rhine in Northern Germany. ETA in Dunkerque is aprox 11am. Riders from northern England or Scotland may prefer to take the overnight crossing from Hull or Rosyth which arrives in Zeebrugge aprox 8.30am enabling you to make the short ride down to Dunkerque and rendezvous with us at 11am. For riders wishing to use this route or make other arrangements for their own arrival on the continent, there is a reduction to our tour cost of £50 per bike & rider / + £20 pillion. Average mileage for each day is aprox 230 miles of great motorcycling - with a couple of slightly longer rides on odd days. Predominantly non motorway, mainly top biking routes! This is an adventure tour that is more about motorcycling than visiting museums and beaches! - This tour is all about enjoying stimulating riding and getting a true taste of eastern Europe. Minimal motorway riding, (aprox 10%) - mainly to link up to the best bits of biking roads. ie Outward Port to Germany. Plenty of adventure & riding variety from day 2 onward. All riding is on road, although there is opportunity for a few dirt roads at certain stages, they are not an essential part of the tour. Hence, most riders will be on a variety of sports tourers. This tour can run in either direction and may be slightly amended to suit certain riders as well keeping an element of adventure! The Croatia day may be replaced by an extended day riding in Slovakia on the outward ride, enabling us to enjoy more of this stunning landscape riding across the Slovakian Tatras with an opportunity to venture into Poland & visit the Auschwitz camp for any riders who would like to experience this. The full route along with all accommodation points, addresses, map books and sat nav co-ordinates will be provided aprox 30 days prior to departure. This is a tour to point you in the right direction for a great adventure ride across Europe. Each day is flexible - for you to ride however you wish. Whilst you have the benefit of suggested route notes - there's no need to stick rigidly to them! There's lots of suggested meeting way points along the route . . . and your evenings accommodation is all arranged, so there's always a few like minded riders & pillions . . . . "guys and girls just like you" . . . to share the days experiences with over a cheap chilled glass of wine . . . or 2 :_) |

| Outward ride (basic outline of the tour . . . . but it will always be evolving & fine tuned to suit YOU . . . & how you ride - on your tour) Routes & directions vary from tour to tour. This example is based on riding the Czech Republic sections on the outward stage. Certain tours will include riding across 9 Countries with an option to cross the 10th - usually Croatia, Poland or Switzerland dependant on tour routes. Day 1 takes us across Belgium to Germany, where we stay in Germanys lovely Eiffel region, ready to pick up the real start of Europe's stunning riding! Day 2 Two days heading across southern Germany - including superb sections approaching the Black Forest where the roads start those famous twisty climbs towards the Alps. Day 3 An early start heading from south Germany across Country to the Czech border. A full days riding that has everything! Our first stop in Czech is not too far over the border, at a friendly high quality biker run pension, full of character in a stunningly beautiful town. The first milestone of the trip as we enter eastern Europe & the 1st drinks are on me!! We'll take a short walk into town - where I'll organize a full evening meal with drinks - to celebrate our arrival in the east! |
Czech republic:

| Day 4 We'll then spend the next 2 days riding across the Czech Republic - at a slightly slower pace, enabling us to take in the change of culture. Day 5 The Czech / Slovakia border region where we stay right in the middle of a stunning forest, surrounded by forested mountains & fresh air, with hardly a car in sight. Option here for an extended day riding in Slovakian Tatras & across the Polish border. |

Route information We've two main objectives on the ten Country adventure tour: To take you places which you'd never find / or go alone, covering enough distance on the tour each day to put us in a position which is different from the day before. To achieve this, we strike a balance between covering enough distance each day whilst keeping the riding enjoyable and achievable for an average adventurer. In doing this, we get to push ourselves maybe just a little beyond our usual comfort zone, in terms of how we ride / where we'd ride. Always with the aim to make each day a new stimulating new experience, where you find yourself riding in a new environment each day, with each evening stop again a new experience where you'll get a taste of local culture. Fantastic motorcycling routes. The tour is also about travelling, riding and experiencing a real journey of adventure. The riding is different in each Country we visit. Everyday a new riding experience. We combine some stunning scenic motorcycling routes with both slower b roads taking us through mystic villages, as well as the odd faster road or autobahn to enable us to progress quickly to the next experience! To make this possible, we sometimes strike a balance between good riding routes & faster journeys. But, no matter what route we take, each section is a stimulating journey. In order to find ourselves planted in a strange new land relatively quickly, we do need to make quite good progress across some of the tour sections, but be assured that each day has been well researched and pre run by myself and will be a good balanced route to keep the tour flowing nicely & be an easily ridable distance, usually averaging 240 miles per day. Of cause you're welcomed (& encouraged) to take your own routes and diversions. We'll all get a little lost at certain points of the tour; all part of the adventure of travelling through a strange part of the world!, but you'll always have our pre planned route / directions / way points and sat nav co ordinates to point you back in the right direction for each key point in the tour. Route guides include: Where practical, a lunch time suggested meeting point / way point, with ETA & the relevant road reference and GPS The start direction and suggested route for each days ride. Name / Address for each evenings accommodation, with sat nav co-ordinate, along with an ETA. Should things not go to plan - no problem, just keep heading in the right direction & meet up what ever time you decide to arrive at the evening's accommodation yourself. Myself and possible other riders will have checked in & you will know that your room is awaiting for you whatever time you arrive . . . . however wet & hungry you are! © GlobeRider ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLE TOURS |
